From the 'Boro to the Beach

Welcome to the official blog of Dan Mattioli's cross country road trip, "From the 'Boro to the Beach". In less than 8 hours I will be leaving Southborough, Massachusetts for Huntington Beach, California, documenting the whole trip here. Check back every night for my current location and daily picture updates. Leave comments and enjoy Matti's Tour of America...

Schedule:
Southborough to Cleveland
Cleveland to St. Louis
St. Louis to Oklahoma City
Oklahoma City to Santa Fe
Santa Fe to the Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon to Las Vegas
Las Vegas to Huntington Beach

Lastly, thank you to all who attended my going-away party and a big thanks to Lyons, Yentch, and Joe for hosting and giving me a great send-off. The room looked amazing and I appreciate the gifts, hopefully all will be put to use by the end of the trip. Here are some pictures from the party.

As the snow continues to fall on Boston, I leave you with the daily quote "At least you will get one last chance to wipe snow off of your car tomorrow morning"- Mike Lyons

Hey Dan,
I like the “official” blog. Too often I frequent the unofficial Dan blog’s unknowingly and they just don’t get the stories straight all the time.
Glad you enjoyed the festivities. You had better use those supplies before you get there, I am sure your stop in Vegas will help. Make sure though that you keep a few for your destination. Enjoy the snow, have fun on the way to Cleveland, look forward to the updates.

At least you have more room in the Mustang now that the Easter Basket was dropped off at Shawn's dorm. I hope it was intact and no candy missing.

The dogs are looking for Doug.

Have fun and be safe.

HI DAN!

I didn't think you would actually do it, but I was wrong. And I give you so much credit since I would never be able to do that. But enjoy every minute of it and have way too much fun in Vegas. I hope you have an amazing trip and love living out there. And I'll be coming to visit, SOONER rather than later please!

Love,
April

I got in the car this morning and turned on XM Radio and what came on was a song about California....
Remember to reset Goose when you enter the Central Time Zone.

Have a safe journey to St. Louis.

Danny - Too funny. Love the robe. I wish you could just keep driving around and tell us what you see. I'm having a blast with this "blog" thing.
Hope your having lots of fun. Make sure you rest up though, the drive is exhausting.

Will check in with you tomorrow!
Travel safe.

Hi Dan,

Love the blog, your too funny.
Have fun when you get to Vegas and don't spend all your money!

I'll be in Vegas on May 9th, you should drive back to Vegas and we could go out for dinner. Only place you can get a full steak dinner for $1.00.

Enjoy your trip and be safe and say hi to Doug (hope he is enjoying the music)
