Hello Cleveland!

The first leg of the trip is complete, Southborough to Cleveland with a stop in Erie, PA. Overall it was a pretty boring day of driving through upstate New York. My car is so packed with my stuff that it's hard to stop the car or take sharp turns, which makes things interesting.

When we got to Erie we picked up Shawn and his girlfriend Katie for dinner and a stop at my favorite grocery store Wegmans. They have an entire aisle of gummy bears and other assorted animals/creatures/objects. Ever had a gummy F-16 fighter jet? How about a gummy tarantula? Didn't think so.

We named my navigation system Goose , a shout out to the greatest love story of my generation, Top Gun. However, the navi unit has a female voice and that just doesn't sit right with me. We'll look into that in the morning. That reminds me, for 2 hours today we thought we were making incredible time, then we realized the navi unit wasn't adjusted for daylight savings.

The remainder of the trip should be more entertaining, but here are some pictures to hold you over: Departure, Mercyhurst College, Quaker Steak and Lube, and Ohio.

Big shout out to Mike Haidet who while studying at American University is allowing me to sleep in his bed in Cleveland. "I like the blog. Enjoy my bed"- Mike Haidet

Overused quote of the day: Talk to me Goose! This could get old fast.

New Feature: Welcome to the 21st Century: Music I am slowly introducing to Uncle Doug.

Josh Radin, Schuyler Fisk, Sublime (20th Century favorite), Band of Horses, and of course Phantom Planet.

See you in St. Louis. Leave me comments, Talk to me Goose!
